Bobby Knight Using Humans as Target Practice?

By Chris Mottram

Bob Knight is not a man you'd want to talk back to. Especially if he has a gun.

The Texas Tech coach shot a woman in the foot with a birdshot pellet on Oct. 20th. Knight apologized, claiming it was an accident. But the very next day, Knight and a friend were hunting in the same area and a man claims one of them intentionally fired a shotgun at him.
"James Simpson told Lubbock police he was struck on the neck and back by pellets after yelling at Knight and another man he believed were hunting too close to his house."
Of course, Knight denies Simpson's claims in his usual calm way: "You haven't heard anything from that guy for two weeks. That's done. I got no comment on that whatsoever because that's absolute (expletive)."

For whatever reason, the police will not seek charges against the coach. Presumably because they don't want to be shot.
