You know what the key to Philadelphia's 2-0 series lead in the NLCS has been? L.A. hasn't boozed it up. Manny Ramirez hopes to fix that.
As for coming back, "It might be time to do some shots of Crown Royal," said Manny Ramirez, who has been there, done that. "I know this, we'll have the music on Sunday in Dodger Stadium and maybe have some fun."Things are a bit more somber for the Phillies. Charlie Manuel managed last night despite the death of his mother on Thursday. Shane Victorino found out after his big performance in Game 2 his grandmother had passed away.
In 2004, Ramirez's Red Sox were down and out against the Yankees, but just before taking the field in Game 6, Kevin Millar urged each of his teammates to down a shot of whiskey. Everyone took a swig out of the same cup.
"We were here last week for the Eagles and the Redskins, and you saw how that turned out. If something can go wrong, it always goes wrong with a Philadelphia team."Positive thinking, yeah!

There it is… 20 m/year and his best solution is whiskey. Maybe that is why he is LA and not Boston. Enjoy it Dodger fans. As a former Manny fan…. good riddance.

He may want to save a little of that Crown Royal for when he’s sitting home watching Boston celebrate without him.

I think Manny had a little too much Crown Royale between April 1 and July 31. I’m pretty sure his chief supplier was Scott Boras.

To be the illustrious playoff producer that Manny is, I would think I’d give him the benefit of the doubt. Also, you can say that he’s joking, but if you want to get mad at someone, it was Kevin Millar three years ago, who did this. Manny is just saying it worked once, why not try it again.
Manny’s job is to play baseball, and to play it well. He isn’t paid to kiss anyone’s behind.
