Sean Williams Gets Awkward With BBC Radio

<!-- param-->

I know this is totally ten minutes long, and not quite as easy to explain as the Nets' pre-United Kingdom video. Oh, and also, Skeets got there first, since he's three hours ahead and owns a Mercedes.

Regardless of all that, this BBC Radio with Nets forward Sean Williams is absolutely unreal. If I were smart, or something, I'd try and get into the weird disconnect between the NBA player and the interviewer so stoked to have the NBA in town. And how weird it is that, when there's a lull, everyone starts dancing, or the radio personality tells the ladies to find Williams and get him to pay their rent. But the highlight comes at the end, where Outkast/UGK's unimpeachably classic "International Player's Anthem" comes on, and Williams blocks (no pun there, ladies) it all out and just locks in with the music. It's like, after the interviewer repeatedly throwing on Down South tracks and shouting "THIS ONE'S FOR TEXAS," Sean's finally like "man, I wish I were back home in Houston. I'm in serious need of a comfort zone right about now, because this has been the most awkward ten minutes of my life."

Follow-up here: I didn’t use Tim Westwood’s name because I’d forgotten who he was. But he’s also so fatuous here that I don’t feel bad about it. Also, worth noting that the video actually ends with Westwood throwing on UGK’s "Front, Back, Side to Side", and Williams smiling a bunch as he dances off the set. Though I still think that what happens just before was some much-needed respite for Sean.
