Another Sterling Palin Night for the NHL

Since the last ceremonial puck drop went so flawlessly for vice presidential candidate/No. 1 Hockey Mom Sarah Palin and the NHL, the parties decided to do it again in St. Louis last night. The Blues rolled out a carpet to center ice so Palin wouldn't slip. Unfortunately, Blues goalie Manny Legace did slip ... because of the carpet.

Legace gave up two goals in the first, missed the final two periods of the Friday loss to L.A., and won't play tonight against Florida.

In the interest of equal time, Democratic nominee Barack Obama browbeat ESPN scribe Rick Reilly into not picking Carson Palmer in Week Six for the pair's gimmick fantasy team. Palmer, of course, didn't play a single down in Week Six. Obama's choice (Drew Brees) had 320 yards and three TDs. Only one of these men is paid to writing about sports. The other is the favorite to be the next leader of the proverbial free world. Thank goodness it's not the other way around.

You impute blame upon Palin for this incident.  She didn’t do anything at all to Manny Legace, and Legace himself doesn’t blame her for it; he said so already.  He blames another guy who had his foot down on the carpet and lifted his foot at the wrong time, causing Legace to snag & trip.  Leave Palin alone and admit that this was just a freak accident, resulting in a minor and easily recoverable injury.

“Only one of these men is paid to writing about sports. The other is the favorite to be the next leader of the proverbial free world. Thank goodness it’s not the other way around.” – It might as well be the other way around Rick Reilly has about as much experience as Obama. It might have been a closer race had Rick Reilly run for president.

Yes, Rick Reilly served in state government and in the US Senate. You guys are delusional. You don’t get sarcasm about hockey, so I am not at all surprised you’d vote for McCain/Palin even when William F. Buckley’s son has distanced himself from that ticket. But, hey, you’re probably really macho and could never vote for a wussy Democrat. Go plumb yourselves.

Can we get rid of this miserable Palin b*tch who’s so damned overexposed it’s not funny. If she’s not prostituting herself at hockey games, she’s doing it on SNL, and I don’t even watch the damn show. Her so-called "hockey mom" image was tired when she was foisted upon the American consciousness like the fad of the month, I mean, is she going to drop first pucks in every NHL city just so she can get publicity? Christ on a crutch! Enough already!

She really never was much of a hockey mom, her husband took the kids to practice… just like she really didn’t have any responsibilities as mayor of Wasilla… Check out the interview of the current mayor… http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=188638&title=understanding-real-america-in

Ah, and AK seems to be doing just fine running while she is not there.  They even found Ted Stevens guilty.  Sounds like AK doesn’t even need Palin.  McCain could even have an additional $150,000 to spend on advertising.
