Caps Coach Gets His Shot at Regional Stardom

Over the past few years here in Washington, we've gotten known as a region that uncorks more than a few amusing -- and truth be told -- not so amusing commercials featuring local sports personalities. Just about everyone knows about Eastern Motors and their reliably goofy spots featuring members of the Washington Redskins, Washington Wizards and even an occasional appearance by a certain Baltimore Raven.

Looking at a different target market, a Mercedes Benz dealer, American Service Center, tabbed Washington Wizards head coach Eddie Jordan for a series of commercials as well. But now, with the success of the Capitals led by former minor league head coach and reigning Jack Adams Trophy winner Bruce Boudreau, it's time for that coach to get a piece of the local action:
Oscar worthy? Probably not. Still, it's good to see Boudreau, who spent 17 years coaching in the minors before getting his shot with the Capitals, getting to wet his beak.
