The Cowboys have been on a whirlwind media tour assuring the world that everything's hunky dorey in Dallas after some dissension between Terrell Owens and Tony Romo earlier this week."When coaches make mistakes around here, there is nothing said about it," Newman said. "They just go and usually try to defuse that and try to put that blame on somebody else. That is one thing that's hurting us as a team, players not owning up to it as well as coaches."Sounds like everything in Dallas is juuust perfect. If the Cowboys lose at home to a limping, short-handed Giants team in what is basically a must win ... well, next week just might be even more fun.
Later on Friday afternoon, Newman said, "If you preach accountability, I think you should at least adhere to. I wanted to make sure I stated that. If you are going to make sure you have to be accountable for this and that, you have to hold yourself to those standards. If you make a mistake, don't try to put it on anybody else. Say you made a mistake — 'That's my bad' — and go forward."

T.O. is a perfect fit in Dallas. Missing the playoffs would errupt mount T.O. worse than his crying episode last year after the playoff loss. "Wah, wah, that’s not fair. That’s my quarterback."

jason witten should ask to be inactive for this game and let TO have all the catches he wants, put the game in TO’s hands and see what happens.

What is this, High School Musical 4? Terrell Owens fighting for the affections of the star quarterback. How cute. All thats needed now is a choreographed dance scene with the rest of the team with Witten and Owens "battle dancing".

I thought you weren’t jealous Owens?

T.O.?
Whatever happened to the hungry kid who cameupwith the 9ers? But – all this shouldn’t be a surprize…it’s T.O. selfish MO. Since he became a star, it’s all about him. The Giant’s had their T.O in Barry, the RedSox in Manny…Dallas needs a move on fromT.O. plan and drop him as soon as they get an opportunity. His skills are diminishing…do you think that he’ll ever be a quiet 3rd receiver like Jerry was later in his career. Keep dreaming…cut him b4 he detroys your team JJ.
PS: JJ…I don’t know whatgamesyou’vebeen watching the last 3 years, but M.B. is far from soft. Check the films. Pound for pound, M.B.’s a beast.

Opinio0n #1…Wade is a retread coach that has failed everywhere he has been and I was stunned that he landed this gig, it is kind of a tad bit obvious that he is NOT head coaching material so whoever hires him deserves what they get.
Opinion #2…It’s T.O man…what in the heel did you expect?

I um……………………………………TOLD YOU SO!
As soon as the chips are down out comes the DEVIL. Word to the wise Cowboys DO NOT LOSE THIS GAME!. If you lose this game T.O. will go postal. This altercation is similar to the Owens-Douglas Match on Eagleveiw T.V. during 05-05 campaign.

I’m certainly hoping that all you fellow football fans aren’t buying into all this you read and hear from the media. The Cowboys say there is no problem and the media says there is so we have to assume the Cowboys are lying when they are the ones who are not in the business of creating a story…hmm?

All except Cowboy fans are loving this. We all knew the real T.O. would eventually show up…

The Fun Bunch, that T.O is a scream.

I guess that there will be a tight end available this off season since Jerry will not get rid of TO.
by Hawkfan_75 on Dec 13, 2008 4:48 PM EST reply actions
Everyone knew this would happen, yet they act shocked. T.O. has always been about himself and likes to win too.But first, he has to make sure he gets his.I would take ten WRs before the Talented T.O.Add to that, the fact that T.O. has been thrown to 17 more times than Witten, but has 9 less catches. Great to see the Cowboys have it all under control.

Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be Cowboys.

Let’s hope T.O. doesn’t harm himself or go TOastal. – I’m not one to say TO…ld you so, but strife tends to follow that dude.
p.s. Years ago the father of one of T.O. San Fran teammates told me about Terrell Owens and how good a guy he is. No one had much heardof him then. …Anyway, I greatly respect the NFL players’ daddy and trust his judgment of character. That said; I believe at heart Owens is an ok guy – but he must be bi-polar, demon possessed or something?

TO is the perfect recipe for ruining a season. Kudos TO, just another day at the office for you. Status quo, etc, etc. Jerry Jones – great sign…just beautiful. Maybe Monday we will hear something from TO’s boy Drew giving us, "next question" or his PR dept giving us the 18 million dollar reason sound byte. Entertaining stuff from TO as usual and I have my popcorn ready.

While I think TO is one of the best recievers of all time he needs to quit crying and think team first if he wants to win a ring.

If monsieur Owens isn’t causing trouble, THAT’S when you worry about him. It means that he’s up to something. I used to see it all the time when I taught SPED.

T.O. is better than Rhomo and Witten put together, maybe they should give him the ball!

Is every day a slow news day??? Send Me-O to Cincinnati where his blatherings would fall on deaf ears. The merciless media maw surrounding this clown detracts from other newsworthy stories.

as a big time cowboys fan,and witten fan i feel T.O is right on this one.at times i think he forces too many passes to owens to please him but lately its been witten seeing all the balls.romo’s been playing like crap and i sometimes wonder where his heads at.maybe its time we see a little roy williams.
by DALLAS8COW on Dec 14, 2008 9:42 AM EST reply actions
If you (T.O.), are getting doubled and trippled teamed then what do you thing Romo is going to do? Throw to the open man you big dummy. This is what happens when you have a player that is worried more about himself than the team. I know as a wr you are always opened even if you are not. T.O. should be thanking his lucky stars that he has a teammate of Wittens calibur. Witten is getting the ball more because he is open more than the wr’s are. Plus he’s the checkdown when T.O. is doubled or trippled team. Sometimes Stars need to blend in instead of trying to shine all the time. It’s not always good to be on front street stay in the backgroud so you don’t look like a clown.
by sfpatriots on Dec 14, 2008 10:01 AM EST reply actions
I would imagine that virtually every cowboy (and cowboy fan) was frustrated as they watched the Romo to Whitten combo let them down last Sunday. The last two drives – an INT on a pass intended for Whitten & then on the last gasp play, Whitten runs down the field & never looks for a pass…. of course T.O. would be the only one to say it.
by breweda1 on Dec 14, 2008 12:21 PM EST reply actions
The media is responsible for this garbage. Every time someone like Chad Johnson or T.O. acts like a jackass, they give it full coverage. The only people who think their antics are funny are inner city school kids under the age of 12. If you are going to play in the NFL, act like you have been there before.
by coachsmeagol on Dec 14, 2008 1:01 PM EST reply actions
Agreed. "Cowboys" was actually its own tab on SportsCenter the other day… it was like NBA, NFL, NCAAFB, COWBOYS (but I think Cowboys was actually first). I couldn’t be happier as an Eagles fan about the way things are coming together in Dallas, all setting up a hopefully climactic showdown in Philly in Week 17.
I’d love to see TO get traded/cut in the offseason and end up in NFL hell playing for the Raiders, because that’s exactly what he deserves at this point.
by QueViva on Dec 14, 2008 2:21 PM EST reply actions
Personally, I would love to see Witten beat the living sh*t out of Owens. If I owned the team, and it comes down to it, you are definitely the odd man out T.O.!
