The top topic of discussion this morning centers around the sad fate of BCS conference bubble teams after San Diego (WCC), Middle Tennessee (Sun Belt), and George Mason (CAA) won their respective conference tourneys last night, thus throwing Gonzaga, South Alabama and VCU directly on the bubble. I’d say this marks the only occasion in sports when people are up-in-arms when chalk doesn’t win out.

But, really, shouldn't we -- as college hoops fans -- be happy to see some more non-BCS conference teams (we don't use the term "mid-major" around these parts) in the Tournament?
Finding out what smaller teams that dominated their conferences -- such as South Alabama and VCU -- can do against the BCS conference teams is intriguing to me. Those games are, if nothing else, unpredictable. What isn't at all interesting, and is totally predictable, is letting in teams that floundered around to mediocrity in their BCS conferences -- Syracuse, Maryland, Florida, etc. We already know what these teams can do against the big boys.
Does it really hurt the Tournament if we only let in six or seven Big East and/or Pac-10 teams, and give multiple teams from the WCC, CAA, Sun Belt, A-10, MVC a chance? Personally, I'd rather watch VCU take on Indiana than [insert middle-of-the-road Big East team] play the Hosiers.

Tunteilla ja periaatteilla eteenpäin. Pelaaminen on kivempaa – tosin sijoitukset ovat sitten kärkisijojen takana :P

Joo, tunteella ne menee excelistä huolimatta. Ja välillä tuntuu että excel antaa vähän liikaakin tunnetta peliin…
Pelillisesti ton excelin suurin hyöty ilmeisesti siinä, että siitä näkee joukkuetasolla skeduulikuopat helposti numeroina ja kun otteluita listassa pari kolme viikkoa etukäteen syötettynä näkee myös sen koska jätkästä pitää päästä eroon.
Toinen hyöty tietysti siinä, että siitä saa blogin täytettä.
Nykyexcelin täyttämiseen menee päivittäin noin 2 min.

…ei musta mitenkään excel tai mikään muukaan semmoinen, mikä tahansa apu poista sitä, että treidit on usein, useimmiten, monesti aina, ns. gut decisions -tyyppisiä manöövereitä.
Siis tunteella. Vai miten se oli tämän adessiivin käyttö tavan määreenä?
Eikö toimittajatutkinnossa opetettu, että se on väärin? Onko sekin jumalauta hyväksytty kielitoimistossa? God damn, mä tiedä enää mit’n.
