Being from the east coast, I've been spoiled by great college basketball my entire life. But until now, I never really considered how the other half lives. In this case, the other half being people who live in those states that are broken up into perfect little squares.
Bill Turianski has put together a map of the location of every school that received a tourney bid this year, and there seems to be a major void in a certain sector of America:
What do people in the Dakotas, Nebraska, Wyoming, etc., etc. do for sports entertainment in February? Actually, I guess the better question is, what do people in the Dakotas, Nebraska, Wyoming, etc., etc. do for entertainment, in general? I've been to one land-locked state in my entire life -- Colorado -- and we basically just skied, drank, and tried to catch our breath the entire trip.
