Meet Lance Saunders, 29, a Knoxville, TN native in Vegas for the tournament bent on destruction, entertainment, or a combination thereof. (The purse, in case you're wondering, isn't his.) I caught Lance watching the end of the Tennessee win against American, and he's got multiple reasons to look as chipper as he does.
TSB: How's the tournament?
Lance: Pretty badass. I've stayed drunk the whole time.
TSB: How are you doing wagering-wise?
Lance: I'm up in sports wagering, but way, way down at blackjack. I've bet every game thus far.
Lance and other Tennessee fans are making a strong appearance here in Vegas. As I walked away, I heard a Tennessee fan say, "D'YA HEAR PAT SUMMITT'S GONNA MARRY BRUCE PEARL?" They're in fine shape already, and it's not even one o'clock in the afternoon PDT yet.
