After the raging success that was Davidson College's win over Wisconsin --
LeBron James showed up,
they oversold their ticket allotment and well, you know, they ended up in the Elite Eight -- the school's administration is running back the giving out of free stuff.
Only this time the trip isn't going to be overnight, and they might need to get Red Bull to sponsor it, considering they're asking the students/fans to take
another 11 hour bus ride to Detroit in order to beef up the supporting crowd for the Wildcats game against Kansas tomorrow.
The Trustees of Davidson College have agreed to support the cost of several more buses and more tickets to allow additional students to attend the game against Kansas in Detroit. The game is on Sunday night, March 30, at 5:05 pm. We have five buses and can take approximately 230 students. If you are interested in attending the game we would ask you to take the following steps.
This is for a BUS SEAT AND A TICKET. You will not be staying overnight in a hotel.
Please do not sign up if there is a possibility you cannot come. We have a limited amount of time. We cannot make any changes once this begins. If your are not absolutely sure you can and want to go, DO NOT SIGN UP. It is possible you may not be back in time for class on Monday morning.
The available buses will leave Davidson on Sunday morning at approximately 3:00 am. The buses will drive directly to the arena where the game will be played . Tip-off is at 5:05 pm. The buses will leave Detroit to return to Davidson immediately after the game and will probably arive back in Davidson between 7 am and 9 am on Monday morning.
Actually, forget Red Bull. They might as well see if
my boy Cheese is available, considering these students are going to get about a half hour of sleep over the next 48 hours. And does Ross really think that these kids are going to class on Monday, win or lose? I struggle to make it to class after staying up to watch
The Wire, so I'm calling "prabs" on any full lecture rooms come Monday. Then again, apparently all the students already scattered across hotel lobbies in Detroit are
already studying their collective intelligent rear ends off, so maybe I'm wrong. Either way, it's awesome that the school is willing to shell out more cash to take students to the games. Although they should really pull "a Florida State" and just cancel class the day after a big game.

Slovakia is also a team that can probably do pretty well against most of the teams, but you really cant count them as favorites against any team (maybe finland), because of the lack of a goalie and a defence that is clearly the worst of these teams
thats not true :?

Slovakia lacks a top-noitch goalie and a solid six-man defence, and that’s it
