Florida State's Buster Posey is a good catcher. And first baseman. And middle infielder. And pitcher. And, well, every other position on the diamond. The junior, and future Major Leaguer, proved as much yesterday:The Seminoles catcher played all nine defensive positions -- and hit a grand slam -- in a 10-0 seven-inning victory over Savannah State on Monday.Yeah, that's right: He played every single position and hit a grand slam. And he did it all in just seven innings, as the game was called prematurely because of the slaughter rule. Oh, and in his one inning on the mound, Posey struck out both batters he faced.
Posey, a junior who's expected to be a high pick in the major league baseball draft in June, became the fourth Seminoles player under coach Mike Martin to play all nine positions. Mike Martin Jr., the coach's son, was the last to perform the feat in 1994.
