When Terrell Owens made his true prime-time acting debut in that racy MNF-opening scene with Nicolette Sheridan, we should have guessed that more bad acting and risque business were in T.O.'s future.
Well, tonight is what we've been waiting for. For those of you who still don't get the NFL Network, maybe you get the fake-sounding broadcast channel MyNetworkTV. But just in case you might have trouble getting your significant gal from switching over from America's Next Top Model, the interweb has made it possible for you watch the relevant parts of Owens' sitcom stint on "Under One Roof."
If you've never heard of that show -- the feeling I had right before writing this post -- from what I could see in the clips, it looked like a modern "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", only with washed-up R-rated rapper and apparent reality TV star Flavor Flav in the role of G-rated rapper and future motion picture box-office star Will Smith. To stick with the "Fresh" analogies, T.O. guest stars as Sean Hill, Flav's scheming blast from the past, a la Jazz (DJ Jazzy Jeff).
In additon to the cheeky football references, T.O.'s character tries to sell Flav on a) that they're related and b) investing in a NC-17-rated website. In the realm of athletes turned actors on sitcoms, T.O. is somewhere between Bob Uecker and Rick Fox. Speaking of cheeky, ESPN has the scoop on the real Owens possibly doing his own brand of XXX-rated investing (H/T to Deadspin).
