Ricky Just Has This Calm Thing, Man

Cedric Benson didn't have to be dragged off a boat and pepper-sprayed. It didn't have to happen that way because Ricky Williams could have been there, having turned down an invite to be on the boat with Benson on the weekend he was arrested by Lower Colorado River police.  If Ricky's there things just tend to get really, really calm, man.

Maybe it's because he brings such good music.

It could also be this natural calming thing Ricky has on people, too.

"I think if I had come down, things might have worked out a little bit differently," Williams, who is entering the final year of his contract with the Dolphins, told the newspaper. "I find I have a calming influence on people I'm around. "As a high-level athlete, it's just something that's ingrained in me. I always think that if I'm there, things would be different. I can't say how."
No, Ricky. We have no idea how people get so calm around you, or how you remain so very calm yourself. And now, if you'll excuse us for a minute, there's some weeds we have to get rid of in the front yard. You know, if you don't trim them you get roaches everywhere. BONG! Ah, the doorbell. Must be the mailman. And oh, my, he's late? It's past 4:20 already! For no reason, I post "Pass the Dutchie" by Musical Youth.

“The Calm” Ricky is talking about would have been a result of the weed high.
