The real highlight, however, was the Angulo/Gutierrez “el mas macho” throwdown. After the fight, Kimbo hovered behind Angulo while he was interviewed by Max Kellerman, creating an overall aura of superbad-osity in the Mexican’s otherwise diminutive posse. Kimbo man – when you got him in your crew, you are officially rolling thick.
Related: Kimbo also loves him some country music awards.

I’ve noticed it before, but particularly in this picture, with the glasses, where you can’t really see how scary huge Kimbo is, he reminds me of Rick Ross.

Got a little bit of the black Rick Rubin thing going for himself too. I could definitely see Kimbo going all music mogul. Particularly rap music mogul. He be like “yeah Suge Knight, whatever, bring it.”

I must admit Large I was pumped when a saw a writer on TSN covering the sweet science. But lately, I hate to say it but your posts have become more of a joke than substance. You have posted nothing but nonsense lately and about what, What Kimbo Slice likes? Who cares about Kimbo Slice a 34 yr old hack who has fooled mainstream to believe he is a legit fighter this is the same guy who lost a street fight to an old police officer with no amaetuer boxing or wrestling background. Your last post was about French vs Nelson at 44 yrs old are you F***** SERIOUS?
It is almost as if TSN has forced to you to come up with an angle to poke fun or come up with an angle to make people read your articles. WHy not say HBO’s Boxing after dark what Boxing should be. You made more mention of Slice than then a mention about a potential bad a** in Kirkland or a fan-friendly style fighter in Angulo. If you can’t devote a serious post about Boxing why even bother? Why not post on a rising prospect like Linares,Jacobs,Ortiz,Gamboa,Angulo OR Kirkland? Give some background and youtube clips instead of spewing nonsense.
Your boy Littman seems to believe that Boxing is covered enough on TSN and that Tyson is more important than young prospects Angulo,Kirkland or Gamboa. It is that ridiculous and stuborn attitude that most mainstream writers hold. To me it is sad that a “so called fan of boxing” is just trying to make funny stories about Boxing instead of just covering facts.

Man, you just have to deal with the facts. This is not a site for hardcore boxing fans and it’s never going to be. And it’s not really a site that “covers” sports either. You’ll note that there are no posts on here that are really straight pieces about up and coming baseball players or hockey players either. It’s not that kind of site. I try to hit the major events and insert boxing into the dialogue in any way that I can, but I have to keep in mind that this isn’t the forum for the really in-depth sweet science stuff. Boxing is marginalized in the sports world, and that doesn’t bother me that much to be honest. There are plenty of sites out there for dudes like you and me who seriously dig it. Hopefully we’ll have No Mas back up and running soon on a daily basis, so if you want to read my writing in a forum where boxing is king, that’s the place. The lead post up there now is about the lesser known second bout between Walcott and Marciano. One last thing – neither Chris Littman nor any of the other dudes at TSN have ever told me what to write or not to write about boxing. If I wrote a long analysis of the Boxing After Dark card, I’m pretty sure they would run it, so don’t blame them. I chose not to write such a piece, because I don’t think this is the right place for it. But it was a great night of fighting, I agree with you, and if No Mas was working right now I would have written about it at length over there. Gamboa reminds me so much of Meldrick Taylor it’s ridiculous. Second fight I’ve seen him get dropped though. If the kid doesn’t start keeping his hands up he’s going to get Jason Litzau’ed pretty soon.
