Madden 09 will feature a "Rewind" function, allowing you to essentially take a mulligan on a play.
I don't know how I feel about this. It's not likely I'd ever use this feature, and I was troubled by the possibility it would be available as an online feature. (Good news: it won't be, according to Gamestop.) You'll be able to choose 0, 1, 3, 5 or unlimited rewinds in your games.
So, although I view it as somewhat unnecessary to be able to go back and wipe out any play on offense, defense or special teams, so long as it isn't imposed on me, I say what's the harm?
After the jump, a friendly contest-related reminder with Major League Baseball 2K8.
As I mentioned a while back, MLB 2K8 is a game that’s worth your time if you’re without the PlayStation 3, which appears to have won this year’s baseball battle with MLB ’08: The Show.
If you’re like most of the general public and think you won’t have money to visit this year’s All-Star Game or World Series, check out the Chevy 2008 Virtual World Series. Two winners will meet at the All-Star Game with one player coming away with two World Series tickets. 2K doesn’t play when it comes to prizes; I saw that first-hand at the Final Four.
