FirstCuts: Million Dollar Olympic Bike

If I said the bicycle in this video cost a whopping $1 million, your reaction would be, what? OK, stop laughing and pointing. I'm serious.

The bike, created by cycle maker Koga Miyata for Dutch track cyclist Theo Bos to use in the Beijing Olympics, has the lowest air resistance of any in the world. This allows the rider to accelerate from a standstill to its top speed of 75 kilometers per hour.

Koga Miyata boss Wouter Jager on the bike:

It's so stiff that it doesn't behave like a normal bicycle and obviously the strange element is this bike doesn't have a brake, doesn't have a gear. It's a single speed.
Even if you've got the $1 million to drop on this thing, you should probably think again. The bike is described as "so specialized" that no ordinary person could ride it. Stick to your Huffy.
