"People have a fondness for the cows," [Atlanta area marketing director for Chick-fil-A Robin Ogle] said. "Anytime we can make a cow bigger and funnier, people love it. They respond to it."The experience-enhancing heifer will also do the tomahawk chop (which is part of a racially questionable chant*, but we’ve already touched on race enough today), sport a Braves hat and have a sign on it, which reads: "Du Tha Chop. Eat Tha Chikin."The Braves liked the idea because the cow enhances the fan experience, said Derek Schiller, executive vice president of sales and marketing for the Atlanta Braves.
The cow is being transported from New Orleans -- where it was constructed by a company that specializes in those big, weird Mardi Gras floats -- to Atlanta this weekend. It will make its grand debut on June 20th.
*... Says the Redskins fan.
