Monster Cow to Invade Braves Home Field

See that enormous cow above, getting towed by an 18-wheeler. Yeah, that monstrosity is the newest ballpark ornament in the Braves home, Tuner Field. Why, other than insane ad dollars, would the Braves want a 40-foot, 15,000-pound cow standing behind left field? Because people love cows, duh:
"People have a fondness for the cows," [Atlanta area marketing director for Chick-fil-A Robin Ogle] said. "Anytime we can make a cow bigger and funnier, people love it. They respond to it."

The Braves liked the idea because the cow enhances the fan experience, said Derek Schiller, executive vice president of sales and marketing for the Atlanta Braves.

The experience-enhancing heifer will also do the tomahawk chop (which is part of a racially questionable chant*, but we’ve already touched on race enough today), sport a Braves hat and have a sign on it, which reads: "Du Tha Chop. Eat Tha Chikin."

The cow is being transported from New Orleans -- where it was constructed by a company that specializes in those big, weird Mardi Gras floats -- to Atlanta this weekend. It will make its grand debut on June 20th.

*... Says the Redskins fan.

How True. Nothing excites fans more than a large cow………..???

Actually, that’s not far off. Nothing excites me more than a large steak.
