Rich "MaZe" Lopez is the founder and editor-in-chief of KixAndTheCity.com. Lopez will keep your feet fresh every weekend with the latest release info. E-mail him at info@kixandthecity.com.

With the the worlds eyes set on the upcoming Summer Olympics, Jordan Brand's 2008 edition of the "Olympic" VI is set to officially release this Saturday, June 7th. The "Olympic" Air Jordan Retro VI features a White Patent leather upper and the colors of the Olympics rings on the midsole, heel and tongue. The "Olympic" VI is considered a Quickstrike, but, many retailers that have not received QS Jordan footwear in the past will receive the Olympic VI, and, the kix will release in GS sizes (normally QS footwear does not release in GS sizes). Though many independent shops have already begun to sell their stock, the "Olympic" VIs are officially set to release on Saturday and large chain retailers whom often follow Jordan Brand's release dates, will release the kix then.

Unless they adopt my idea of sending the harlem Globetrotters to the Olympics so that everyone likes us again, option two should be a team of recently-retired players (with a Shaq or two thrown in) who have the time to train together and build team cohesion.
