Updated throughout the day with quick takes from staff.

If anyone understands how undeserving I am of this great honor, it’s me. I mean, I don’t even like the Yankees. But, somehow, there I am, standing on the same field where some rather important baseball players once did. Yes, players even more important than Davey Johnson, who you can see over my right shoulder (No. 5). Surreal, indeed.
So, I guess it goes without saying that we made it to New York. We had an epic first day of watching future stars hit baseballs, ogling famous people, witnessing kids lose their collective mind at the Fanfest, and various other All-Star-game-in-NYC randomness (specifically, Rick Sutcliffe enjoying cocktails at our hotel bar). There will be more on this stuff starting tomorrow morning, so please, come back and check in on us. Things should get slightly more exciting once there are, you know, actual All-Stars in town.

I can’t believe Schrages was able to stand on the Yankee Stadium field and hold the camera steady at the same time. Impressive.
As for the point-and-look-awesome, it would’ve been way awesomer had you been wearing standard-issue chinos.
Regardless, I look forward to your coverage, specifically the Sut-in-a-bar thing.

It looks like you’re holding a microphone. The point’s not strong enough.
And Derek Jeter is a Yankee, so clearly there are All Stars there at all times.

Thanks for your constructive criticism. But a) those are a bunch of free media guides that I later tossed, b) photographer caught me mid-point, c) Jeter was in Toronto.
