Those lovely shoes are the two editions of the Reebok Pump Running Dual made in Mets and Yankees colorways. According to High Snobiety, they hit five select NYC retailers on Friday, July 11. I've got love for a lot of things Reebok does, but this isn't one of 'em. Shawn Schrager also took a shot of the Reebok League, which is available on RBKCustom.com.
If those don't strike you as a fashion faux pas -- and admittedly, I'd say they're passable for fans of those teams -- might I recommend the Nike Air Force One put out for the All-Star Game, or perhaps a pair of Crocs?
The pinstripe Air Force One is absolutely brutal. What gives with the irregular pattern all over the shoe? And why the gum sole? And then we're left with the Crocs, which can only be rocked successfully if you happen to have a Heisman Trophy somewhere on a shelf in your crib. And even then, I'm calling it a questionable decision.
At least in the case of the All-Star Game Crocs, which are limited edition, you can call them a collector's item. But really, 10 years from now, if you've got a pristine pair of 2008 MLB All-Star Game Crocs, what are you going to do? Only look in the mirror and shake your head.
