Yes, this is just one of the images EA put out a little after we closed up shop on Monday, simulating Brett Favre in another team's uniform. A division rival, no less.
EA Sports' Madden NFL 09 features Favre on its cover this season in a Packers uniform, but here were the results for the Vikings with and without No. 4:
With Favre: 10-6, Lose Wild Card Game vs. Bucs (11-6)
3356 yards, 29 TDs, 100.7 QB rating
Without Favre: 5-11, No Playoffs
Tarvaris Jackson -- 2962 yards, 11 TDs, 66.8 QB rating
It's at about this point that I'd question the validity of this whole simulation. Unless Jared Allen is mauled by bears on one of those hunting trips and the rest of the defense catches polio, that team isn't going 5-11.

EA didn't simulate him with the Bears, but did toss in the Packers' numbers with and without Favre, which are listed below.

with farve vikes lose first playoff game, without farve vikes pull a rayyy-daaar and look forward to high draft pick.

As good as Favre could be, he never finished a regular season with a rating of over 100. I guess one is entitled to a little leeway when one graces the cover of the game…

Yeah, I wouldn’t be putting any stock into a video game simulator.
And Green Bay doing better with Rodger’s is proof that the system is amazingly flawed. Seriously, simulate a season with the Dolphins ten times, I bet one of those seasons is 13-3 or better.

BTW, can they replace the Texans’ unis with Oiler blue? I saw a Youtube posting of a Madden game with the Texans wearing Oilers unis and helmets vs. the Titans.

Wait a second. Isnt the title of the game "Madden" not "Favre"? Therefore, why should we worry about where Favre will be playing? Also, Madden is getting repetitive and e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y boring. All that they are doing is milking the cash cow, so I am a) never gonna buy another madden game until they make it better; and b) Im gonna play at www.YOUbeQB.com, where there is something new and exciting every year!
