FirstCuts: Favre Swaps Uniforms In Madden 09

WARNING: The following images may not be suitable for all Packers fans, residents of Wisconsin and Brett Favre worshipers. ↵

↵ ↵

↵

↵Yes, this is just one of the images EA put out a little after we closed up shop on Monday, simulating Brett Favre in another team's uniform. A division rival, no less. ↵

↵

↵EA Sports' Madden NFL 09 features Favre on its cover this season in a Packers uniform, but here were the results for the Vikings with and without No. 4: ↵

↵
↵⇥With Favre: 10-6, Lose Wild Card Game vs. Bucs (11-6)
↵⇥3356 yards, 29 TDs, 100.7 QB rating ↵⇥
↵⇥
↵⇥Without Favre: 5-11, No Playoffs ↵⇥
↵⇥Tarvaris Jackson -- 2962 yards, 11 TDs, 66.8 QB rating ↵
↵

↵It's at about this point that I'd question the validity of this whole simulation. Unless Jared Allen is mauled by bears on one of those hunting trips and the rest of the defense catches polio, that team isn't going 5-11. ↵

↵

↵For the rest of the blasphemous simulation, hit the jump. Disturbing images ahead.  ↵

↵

↵BUCS ↵ ↵

↵
↵⇥With Favre: 12-4, Lose Div. Playoff Game vs. Eagles ↵⇥
↵⇥3827 yards, 34 TDs, 98 QB rating ↵⇥
↵⇥
↵⇥Without Favre: 11-5, Lose Div. Lose Conference Championship vs. Eagles ↵⇥
↵⇥Jeff Garcia -- 3508 yards, 19 TDs, 80 QB rating ↵
↵

↵JETS ↵

↵

↵ ↵

↵
↵⇥With Favre: 11-4-1, Lose Wild Card Game vs. Browns (22-19) ↵⇥
↵⇥3964 yards, 31 TDs, 103.1 QB rating ↵⇥
↵⇥
↵⇥Without Favre: 9-7, No Playoffs ↵⇥
↵⇥Chad Pennington -- 3542 yards, 22 TDs, 108.4 QB rating ↵
↵

↵PACKERS ↵

↵

↵ ↵

↵

↵EA didn't simulate him with the Bears, but did toss in the Packers' numbers with and without Favre, which are listed below. ↵

↵
↵⇥With Favre: 9-7, Lose Div Playoff Game vs. Cowboys (25-17) ↵⇥
↵⇥3729 yards, 24 TDs, 100.7 QB rating ↵⇥
↵⇥
↵⇥Without Favre: 12-4, Lose Div. Playoff Game Vs. Vikings (37-31, OT) ↵⇥
↵⇥Aaron Rodgers -- 3211 yards, 26 TDs, 95.6 QB rating
↵
↵And for one last bit of disturbing imagery, here's a little something for you Ravens fans: A custom-designed Madden 09 cover with Favre in the white, black and purple. It's fit to print in place of this year's cover.
