Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith might have what doctors would call a little bit of an “anger management issue.” Back in ’02, he was arrested after beating the pulp out of a practice squad player in the film-room, breaking the dude’s nose and sending him to the hospital for two nights.
Today, Smith was back to his old tricks:
There was an altercation on the field at this morning's practice between receiver Steve Smith and cornerback Ken Lucas, and Lucas was later carted off the field by the team's training staff. There aren’t any images of the fight, or aftermath, available (yet), but I imagine it looked something like the photo above, but with Lucas' ass somewhere near the end of Smith’s boot.A fight broke out on the sideline, and a crowd of players converged on the scene. Smith was pulled away from the scene by linebacker Jon Beason.
Lucas was taken to a tent, where he held an ice pack over his face for several minutes.

It’s been a long time since Smitty had an outburst like this…I guess the frustration of having Mr. Mittens throwing to him finally caught up.
