Spanish Show Sensitive, Racist Side

The Chinese are sensitive. How sensitive? Mad crazy girlfriend sensitive, that's how sensitive, the kind of people who find slights in the most meager of details. Remember the anthem fiasco involving the Star-Spangled Banner? Americans assume there was an error and move on. The Chinese would have threatened to cut off diplomatic ties and demanded copious apologies to make up for "the hurt feelings of the Chinese people."

So, there won't be any issues over the photo above. Nope. None at all.

Spain is hoping to host the 2016 Olympic games, and Deadspin's Clay Travis displays admirable faith in humanity by assuming this will impact their chances in one way or another, instead of assuming what I assume: the country that gets the Olympics pays the most luxurious and frequent bribes. And no one, repeat, no one was going to beat China to these games in that department. So, this bit of exceptional cultural insensitivity means the price tag for the Games for Spain, already likely to take thirty years or so to pay off if they get it, just got higher.

Let's not leap to conclusions about the Spanish and their lack of multicultural sensitivity. Just ask the Moors about their hospitality to minority groups. Or black soccer players, for that matter.
