YouTubery: John Tesh's 'Roundball Rock' Roots

With "Roundball Rock" having made a triumphant return for the Olympics -- and every NBC broadcaster tittering over it like they'd seen the ghost of Stan Musial -- there's no denying the awesome truth. This song is invincible, we can't get enough of it, as even it's corny as hell author can only make it stronger. Witness the paradox in full swing here, where John Tesh does this really stupid intro stunt that may or may not be phony in nature (I have no idea if he has a sense of irony, and am glad to lack that expertise). But still, it rises. I can feel it shaping my blood cells right now.

That’s awesome, although the way Tesh imitates driibbling a ball was really cheesy and shows that he’s probably never played in his life.

If NBC would have gotten Tesh and that symphony to perform it live in Beijing, that would have the greatest thing ever.
