Swedish Wrestler Ara Abrahamian Hates Bronze

Swedish wrestler Ara Abrahamian holds a grudge. Rephrase: Ara Abrahamian takes his grudges, wraps his hands around their throat, and then squeezes the life out of them. Abrahamian had already been restrained by teammates following a dispute with judges, so he was in a fine mood to begin with when he was awarded the bronze medal. In case you're wondering about his jewelry preferences, Abrahamian likes inset diamonds and diamondelles that do not clash with his skin, disdains tie clasps and jeweled cufflinks, and generally prefers a simple, less ornamental style in his jewelry.

Most importantly, please remember that he does not wear bronze under any circumstances.

That's a grudge taken to the fullest extent of grudge material capacity. If there were some sort of spite Olympics we would give Abrahamian ... A BRONZE MEDAL! Hahahahahaha! He'd hate that, and being a wrestler, he'd probably tie my arms in a knot. If he'll attack an Olympic judge, he'll turn a blogger into dork-flavored Vegemite.

He needed a trash can so he could have gone "Riddick Bowe" on the medal.

I’m a Swede and saw the game. I have never seen a game so obviously rigged.

Background, He wrestled an Italian guy, the president of FILA is Italian, the ref was half-Italian, all the refs are in before hand decided (not drawed which would prevent corruption) by only one person which is Italian. It is also well known since earlier that games are rigged.

To the game: If one person escapes the circle you loose a point. The Italian did that several times when he had a bad position, just like as if he knew it would save him. No points given.
The Swedish guy had one singe hand outside the circle in the end of 2nd period. The Swede should have got one point there if the Italian did not succeed to score on him and therefore the Swede would have won that period. The period ended and it looked like a 3rd period was comming up when suddenly the refs change their minds and give the Italian point instead since they claimed the Swede for escaping the circle. Since the Italian already had won the first period and now the 2nd he became the winner. If one saw the game it was easy to see who was the best wrestler, it wasn’t the Italian and therefore they didn’t want a 3rd period.

In the final we saw the same thing which made it even more obvious. The Italian met a Hungarian. The Italian purposly escaped the circle to save him self since he knew he wouldn’t get points. The Hungarian guy hardly escaped the circle but the ref wanted to punish him for that. Now there is a couple of refs on the side on the circle which stopped him to make that call. I don’t think they dared to since it became too obvious in the semi-finals. The 2 wrestlers did simply not wrestled with the same rules. The Italians can say what they want, the match is on film and speakes for it self.

I think it was totallt right, this medal means nothing. This is a perfect place to protest against the corruptioin within wrestling. Now FILA has to awnser up to IOC and not just themselfes.

skii or die: it’s called satire. This is a blog post, not a news article. There’s a difference. Actually, was your comment satire, as well? If so, well done.

Rather classless.

Satire? Isn’t that a blue colored gem stone??

Actually, I thought it was funny. Well done, cmott.

Chris, you gave me the awnser I wanted. I had to put in the fact that I might as well not understand what was written since i’m far from native.

Didn’t acctually read Spencers post until after my first post, and after my the 2nd post I realized I ended up on a blogg. Since I came here from a link which where on the News-headlines I thought I came to a news page and wondered what strange new look it was. Then ofcourse what crappy article it was. So, my post wasn’t satire, you win and my mistake. Satire is fun, but  simply don’t gets what he says….so for me it’s still crap.
Agree that this is a good happening to make jokes on.

Later on I found the real article and copied my long post there.

I’m still really upset over the mafioso-Italians.

I acctually forgot one thing, the ref and the Italian FILA-president is cousines. The bad thing is that it is the Swede that will look as the bad one if IOC don’t handle this as they should

I wouldn’t wear Bronze, either… and know very few women who would.

"Oh no, I’m ONLY the third best wrestler in the world! Oh god, why, does being third best in the entire world, better than billions of people, suck so bad?" says Abraham.

Yeah, the dude got totally hosed. I wouldn’t really say it was a grudge or anything. And actually, I sort of admire him for a) having the manners to shake the hand of the gold medal winner and tell him that he is not upset with him personally and he is a great wrestler and b) having the balls to decline his medal as a stand against the terrible officiating.
