Joe Pa Will Fight You If You Don't Watch This

Coaches are different actors with different methods. See the Big Ten Network clip below for a primer on the divergent styles employed by the conference's coaches ... and simply marvel at the craft.
Where to start? The gentle, avuncular charm of Jim Tressel? The brooding intensity of Mark Dantonio, who resembles a young Martin Landau in his prime? Or the masterful performance of Ron Zook, the startling, energetic force staring through the camera lens at you?

All fine performances, but we'll even pass up the light comic banter and excellent prop work of Rich Rodriguez for the obvious Oscar performance here: Joe Paterno, whose concluding "COME TO PENN SHHHTATE!!!" uttered between gritted teeth contains meaning a thousand words only begins to describe. Old and wise, furious in the face of advanced age -- he is an Ahab for our time, that man.
