Introducing Mr. Ocho Cinco

It’s official (well, reportedly official): Chad Johnson has changed his name to Chad Ocho Cinco. We first mentioned this here on TSB back on the 13th, calling it “genius.” And now that it’s all really happening, yeah, it’s still freakin’ brilliant. I’m suddenly so much happier that I wasted a fantasy pick on Ocho. ↵

↵And when shall this go into effect? Well, based on his recent comments, it might be at the Bengals season opener against the Ravens: ↵

↵
↵⇥"A lot of people look at Chad Johnson and say he's crazy and he does a lot of stuff, but I don't think people really understand how smart I really am," Johnson said. "So come Sept. 7, I believe when we play the Baltimore Ravens, I think that's the game, there's a surprise for everybody -- for everybody. When I say something, it is what it is, just enjoy it. Because it's going to last 16 weeks, plus some more." ↵
↵Well, Chad’s really smart and all, so he’d never predict that this team is going to be in the postseason … so I’ll go ahead and assume that when he says “plus some more,” he’s referring to the bye week. But hey, it is what it is, or something, so enjoy the show. Whatever that means.↵
