Before last night,
it had been nearly two weeks since Emmitt Smith was on ESPN, slicing up the latest NFL news with his cunning linguistic skillz. Here he is attempting to compare his move from Dallas to Arizona to Favre’s transition to the Jets during Monday Night Countdown ... on Thursday night:
There’s a lot of brilliance to digest in that 30 second clip, but my favorite has to be Emmitt’s listing abilities. He keeps them short and sweet, which is to say, his lists start and end with 1 – “Number one ... first of all ... he has to realize that the Cowboys was such an intrical part of my career ...”
Oh, and “intrical” isn’t a word. So I guess I had two favorite parts. Sorry, I was trying not to confuse Emmitt by making my list so comprehensive.
