Updated throughout the day with quick takes from staff.
As the week of Vince Young's sadness has wrapped up, the general lesson has been that we (and by we, I mean Jeff Fisher and the Nashville media) need to calm down when a possibly depressed quarterback goes MIA during Packers-Vikes. But Friday night it became apparent the real lesson is that we should pay a lot more mind to Young's mom than Fisher or anyone else.Young seemed happy and laughed a bit Thursday when he discussed the past few days with reporters. He blamed his mother for overreacting and the media for making too much of nothing.Young's mom sounded the alarm early on. If dude was really talking about suicide with his therapist ... that alarm definitely should have been ringing. If not for motherly concern and the police report, this really would have blown over and no one would be the wiser that this kid is hurtin' bad. And yeah, it's probably none of our business -- Young owes us nothing, as Spencer Hall argued earlier this week. But reality seems like a sharp, sharp contrast from the story the Titans (specifically Fisher) have spun.
"Now I am OK. I was never depressed. I just hurt a little bit ... When it happens again, I'll know how to handle it," Young said.

I disagree with just about everything you are trying to do here. The right people intervened at the right time and now it’s time to let Vince have his privacy in what is a private matter. Every mindless blog like this just adds to the destructive drama. Move on.
