FOX Prominently Plugs Game It Isn't Broadcasting

Fox Billboard Spotted in Washington, D.C.: a billboard promoting Fox NFL Sunday using "Favre vs. Packers" as a huge selling point to get viewers to tune in. This despite the fact that the game in question is on Monday night and will be shown on ESPN.

Of course, if pressed, a representative from Fox would insist that even if the network will not be broadcasting this particular game, it will be a frequently discussed topic during the Sunday pregame jabberfest, which is technically true. But the average person not availed of the NFL schedule who views this is going to assume that the Packers and Vikings will be shown Sunday on Fox. Sure, there's not much honesty in advertising, but this is pretty flagrantly misleading.

Already, we spotlighted what ESPN is doing with cheap ploys to boost rating by exploiting this match-up. But in their defense, at least they're actually broadcasting the game.
