The Redskins aren't terrible this year, but some of head coach Jim Zorn's decisions have been pretty wretched. Wretched enough that team owner Daniel Snyder is rumored to have tried to replace him twice -- once during this season.
Word has it Snyder approached former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan in the offseason to be his head coach and has made another attempt during the season, only to be rebuffed both times. Despite being owed millions by Denver owner Pat Bowlen, Shanahan does want to return to the sidelines, but he wants to wait until the league season ends and consider his options.
I think they should fire Zorn, refuse to name a successor, and leave the Redskins to govern themselves as an autonomous collective. Anyway, I'm guessing Shanahan reportedly turned down the job because he was busy fighting terrorism with John Elway. Have you seen that video? You haven't? Oh, man. Hold on, I'll post it in a few minutes.

Best. SB. Line. Ever.
Zorn is truly pathetic, and the Redskins are going to continue to suffer until a quality coaching staff and general management team are put into place. They continue to over-pay for talent, and get that talent to under-perform.
The dynamic duo: Matt Ryan and Roddy White.
