Carlos Arroyo, who made his name as a collegian at Florida International and then enjoyed some of his best basketball in Orlando with the Magic, is returning to Florida after a yearlong foray into European hoops with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Ira Wilderman of the Sun-Sentinel reports:
“It was about being in the right situation,” Arroyo said. “I had to be patient to wait for this opportunity. For the first time, I can use my home,” he said with a smile.
Arroyo will back up second-year Miami guard Mario Chalmers, and figures to be a frequent contributor off the bench for the Heat.
