Braylon Edwards' Jets Debut Proves He Can Still Catch Footballs

As we pointed out last night, Braylon Edwards’ Jets debut was impressive on paper, but far more so if you saw the plays he made. Of his five catches against the Dolphins, at least three of them were not routine plays, especially this one, which was obviously a touchdown, right Jon Gruden?

Actually, Jon, as the replay you just watched about seven times clearly shows, it was not a touchdown. Although it might as well have been as Thomas Jones punched it in from the half yardline. Although five catches for 65 yards and two touchdowns would’ve been a decidedly sexier stat line for Edwards.
