Especially not by some nerd looking to cash in with a thousand different domain names. From ESPN’s True Hoop:
Some jerk beat Chris Bosh to registering the domain www.chrisbosh.com. So Bosh went after the cybersquatter. All sorts of legal wrangling later, Bosh has won damages, his domain … and a zillion other domains the same guy had been squatting.
Some of the other domain names that were relinquished by this faceless Internet hustler were AndreIguodala.com, KobeStopper.com, SteveNash.com, and JJRedick.com, which I can only hope will be developed into a parody site for the long line of Duke basketball failures in the NBA.
In any case, this latest news cements Bosh’s status as patron saint of the NBA internet:
