USC Doesn't Seem Worried About Notre Dame

There are more than a few people who just hate Notre Dame, but you've got to feel for them a little bit. They haven't won against USC since 2001 -- and some of those losses weren't exactly close. They've had to fight and scratch to hold on to every win this year after the opener. No game has been decided by more than seven points during that stretch. There's a lot of pressure to beat USC and validate a potential BCS bid at the end of the season. As for USC ...

Yeah, they seem to be coping with the stress of the big game just fine.

why would USC be worried

USC can’t afford to take any team lightly.  When you are the big dawg, everyone is up for you.  If USC takes ND lightly, it will be a long day for
the Trojans.  The final scores might not blow you away, but the Irish are
playing better this year and this is a rivalry game so anything goes.

What does this have to do with Notre Dame?  It was a wet practice.

If the black guys slide on the chalk/paint stuff that makes up the sideline too much, they won’t be able to play cornerback anynore.

This is a long series.  ND has been on the winning side for extended periods as well.  This will turn eventually.

Notre Dame has better speed this year than in the past.   Unfortunately not a lot of it is on the defensive side.  They should be able to keep it closer than they have recently.
