Carolina won for the second week in a row on Sunday by using last year’s formula: Run the ball 35 times with DeAngelo/Stewart and hope Delhomme doesn’t find a way to lose the game.
The latter part of that recipe for success is doing nothing for Steve Smith’s numbers, however. He had one catch for four yards yesterday and has 21 receptions for 259 yards on the season.
Steve Smith isn’t happy about this, as confirmed by Steve Smith:
“It’s bittersweet,” Smith said quietly as he headed for the shower. “We get the win, but I have a limited role. So, obviously, I see this game as showing I’m no longer an asset to this team.“That’s all I got. My name’s Steve Smith and I stand by that.”
