As a child of divorce, I’d like to officially welcome all Dodgers fans to the fold. We hold meetings every second Thursday of the month. Pamphlets and reading materials are just around the corner there.
That’s the situation Dodgers fans find themselves in this evening, as Frank McCourt, co-owner and chairman of the Dodgers, fired wife Jamie McCourt, co-owner and CEO of the Dodgers. The two are currently going through a divorce and are officially battling over the team. I know where this goes: Jamie will demand full custody of the team, while Frank petitions to own the Dodgers more than just every other weekend. (Neither side will be willing to adopt Manny Ramirez.)
But don’t worry, Dodgers fans. It’s not your fault. (Just kidding. They tell you that, but it’s kind of your fault.)
