In Columbus, Minnesota's Troy Stoudermire, Jr. was called for kick interference. Gopher Sports' live blog believes the call was somewhat dubious:
Kick catch interference against Minnesota extends the first quarter by one play. An untimed down will end the quarter as the clock is at 0:00. I'm wondering why that was called. Stoudermire didn't impede the guy's ability to catch the ball.
After the play, Stoudermire was shown getting in the face of his coach; it was apparently a pretty heated confrontation. If I were there in person, I would have elbowed the person next to me and quipped, "I went to see a fight...and a football game broke out!" He or she would have laughed and laughed.
