Iowa State may be the CycLOLnes no more, beating Nebraska 9-7 for the first win over the Huskers since 1977, but earning your first victory this millennium against a historical bully gets easier when they hand you the stick and ask for the beatdown. Nebraska turned the ball over eight times (read that in the Monster Truck voice) and let Iowa State punt their way to victory.
In other shockers, Pitt appears to be…good? Yes, that’s the word, actual, competent goodness in football form, racking up 297 yards in the first half before cruising to a 41-14 victory over USF. The power of the Wannstache is, for 2009 at least, nothing to mock.

Get your facts right.
Spencer,
It was not ISU’s first win over Nebraska since 1977. It was their first in Lincoln since 1977. They also defeated Nebraska in 1992, 2002 and 2004.
