Well all things considered, I’d say Boston College’s Rich Gunnell had a pretty productive Saturday. His Eagles fell late to Notre Dame, but not because of Gunnell. The fifth-year senior had 179 yards and a touchdown, pretty much carrying the BC offense for most of the day.
Then, to put an exclamation point on the performance, he had this exchange with America’s Least Favorite Quarterback:
Whatever he said there, it obviously struck a nerve with Notre Dame's Jimmy Clausen, as evidenced by Clausen’s meek shove, and immediate pirouette in the other direction. Anytime you can piss off Jimmy Clausen, you can be sure a great time was had by all. Nice work, Rich, a grateful nation wishes you well.
