Sunday was a busy day for Larry Johnson. No, not on the field, silly -- there he managed just 49 yards on 16 carries. He was working hard off the field, where he threw his coach under the bus and used homophobic slurs, most of it via Twitter. Of course.
First, he tweeted that his father has "more credentials" than Chiefs' head coach Todd Haley, and followed that up with saying that Haley has "played golf" and done "Nuthn." Plenty more about that at SB Nation's Arrowhead Pride. Angry tweeting is never good tweeting.
Then today, Johnson had a bit of an "incident" with the media.
When reporters entered the locker room on Monday, Johnson said, "I'm not talking [until] Thursday."
And then Johnson uttered a sentence that surely will catch the interest of the league office.
Per KCSP, Johnson said partially under his breath, "Get your faggot asses out of here."
Todd Haley has a press conference scheduled for 4:30 PM EST today, and already Johnson's agent is in OHMYGOD WHY DID YOU SAY THAT damage control. But sadly for Johnson, and Chiefs fans I imagine, these public outbursts against his team are nothing new.
