In the wake of the Saints’ 6-0 start—particular in light of last week’s jaw-dropping, 36 point display in the second half against Miami—New Orleans has a lot of NFL experts wondering just how good the Saints could be.
And Saints RB Reggie Bush, for one, isn’t going to shy away from great expectations:
Can we go undefeated? Yes. I do think we have the players, the chemistry, we have the heart and dedication, the coaching staff, we have the players.”
Once I do win an NFL MVP, once we do win a Super Bowl, once I am in the Pro Bowl, it’s going to be that much more special because of all the criticism that I had to come through and because of the work I’ve put into it…
Okay, so it’s one thing to say you’ll go undefeated… But Reggie. Reggie Reggie Reggie. You’re my man and all, but you haven’t played a full season since 2006. And you play next to the actual MVP in Drew Brees.
You’re better than people realize, and that new SI Cover is awesome… But “Once” you win an MVP? Unless Fresno State comes to the NFC South, that’s more like a gigantic “If.”
