Remember when the Dolphins took Ted Ginn ninth overall in the 2007 draft? And how ridiculously stupid you thought that pick was? Well, time is continuing to prove you right.
After struggling with the ability to catch the ball all season, Ginn seems to have been demoted to the No. 4 wide receiver on the Dolphins depth chart, behind rookie Brian Hartline … who was drafted in the 4th round.
From the Palm Beach Post’s Daily Dolphin:
While the 1st- and 2nd-team offenses ran two plays each at the beginning of practice, Ginn was off to the side with rookie WR Pat Turner and practice squad WRs Julius Pruit and James Robinson.
A bit later, Ginn lined up in one-on-one passing drills, beat new practice squad safety Nate Ness and dropped an over-the-shoulder catch in the end zone. […]
Coach Tony Sparano said Monday rookie Brian Hartline would get more playing time, leading one to guess Ginn’s playing time would be reduced.
