Lou Piniella thinks Ryan Sandberg will “be in the mix” for the Cubs managerial spot when Lou finally decides he’s sick of all this nonsense after 2010. Lou also thought it would be a good idea to trade Mark De Rosa and get a left-handed bat in the lineup, but as Lou’s not making any value judgments here, but simply relaying information, I think he can be trusted. After all, his postgame press conferences are all about recounting simple facts. His favorite quote is “Well, we didn’t hit.” Simple, easy, factual. Lou Piniella.
