Westbrook Will Start Sunday, Split Time With LeSean McCoy

From Eagles Insider:

Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, who missed the last two games with a broken rib, will join running back Brian Westbrook in the starting lineup when the Eagles (2-1) meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-4) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles are 10-0 following the bye week since 1999, making the timing of McNabb’s return seem all the more perfect. McNabb and Westbrook practiced on Monday and will practice again this afternoon from the team’s NovaCare Complex.

…Westbrook did not play against Kansas City on Sept. 27 because of a right ankle sprain and Reid said that Westbrook will split time with rookie running back LeSean McCoy against the Bucs.

Eagles RB Brian Westbrook Practices

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Eagles RB Brian Westbrook returned to practice on Monday for the first time since spraining his surgically repaired ankle during the team's Week 2 loss to the Saints.

Westbrook should play this week against the Bucs, although rookie RB LeSean McCoy could very well see an expanded role to limit the wear and tear on Westbrook.
