Memphis owner Michael Heisley wanted to find a way to get fans to care about the recently moribund Grizzlies. He thought he'd found the Answer (sometimes it's just too easy).
But not so fast. Michael Lee of the Washington Post reports Iverson will sit out tonight's preseason game against the Wizards due to a strained hamstring and is scheduled to have an MRI tomorrow. For a player whose game totally relies on his quickness, this is a potentially devastating injury, at least in the short-term. For Grizzlies - and basketball - fans' sake, let's hope this doesn't turn into a Jose Reyes situation.
So until Iverson returns, feel free to go on living your life, completely oblivious to the fate of a certain NBA franchise on the Mississippi (sorry O.J Mayo and Rudy Gay).
