Magglio Ordonez enjoys high fastballs. Matt Guerrier just pitched him one. The ball went far, far away: Ordonez blasted a game-tying homer to bring the score even in the top of the eighth. Excuse us the cliche, but this is October baseball. More scoring changes, please! (We don’t mind the typing. This is fun.)

Joe Nathan
Why wouldn’t the Twins bring him in to start the 8th inning with a one-run lead? Surely he is capable of pitching more than three outs.

If my stats are correct, he actually pitched 1-2/3 innings.
Nathan definitely could have certainly pitched another inning. However, it is uncertain if a different result would have been achieved.
