So the images are slowly but surely starting to roll out for the cover of The Body Issue of ESPN the Magazine. Gina Carano is one of six who will hit newsstands this week on Friday. You've also got Serena Williams, Adrian Peterson, Dwight Howard, Clair Bevilacqua and Sara Reinersten.
I'm not sure what's really accomplished, although I suppose that I'm posting about it -- as a lot blogs already have and will continue to leading up to Friday -- is sort of the point, no? Those covers are all well and good, but we here at Sporting News strive to bring you shirtless athletes as well. We've done a few covers like this before, including Anna Benson and more, but after the jump I leave you with an all-timer that always makes me wish I was at the shoot to hear the athlete's reaction.
Ed Reed doing his best American Beauty pose.
I wonder how this went over with his boys at The U.
