And by God, the month of November is meant to be David Stern’s territory! Alas, we go to SBN’s new blog Inhistoric—which focuses on “reliving the greatest moments in sports history, to digging up esoteric nonsense like the Refrigerator Perry GI Joe commercial” … yeah, it’s awesome.
Inhistoric points out that not only will the NFL network be airing games on Thursday nights (competing with the NBA on TNT), but that the NBA’s first week of regular season play will also be upstaged by the World Series, which starts later this year.
[Cut to Stern, eerily calm, talking to deputy commissioner, Adam Silver, in New York office]
It’s unclear as to who’s responsible for this most unfortunate oversight . [Stern breaks pencil in half] But heads will ROLL, I tell you!
