A-Rod, Matsui Pile On, Yankees Go Up 6-2

This could get bad: A-Rod singled in Derek Jeter from second to the great approval of Penny Lane, which prompted Ron Gardenhire to replace Brian Duensing with Fransisco Liriano. That didn’t go so well: Matsui hit a “towering” — there’s another one of those Chip Caray words — two-run home run to give the Yankees a 6-2 advantage. This could get bad in the next few innings, but for now, the damage is done.
